Interesting to hear y’all barkin’ about Daines and his daughter’s wedding.
As I recall, our daughters did most of the planning for their weddings (with Grandma’s help) which took most of a year for each of ‘em.
My role? Well, I recall saying “Yes ______” a whole lot, then I went where I was told to go when I was told to be there, said what I was supposed to say on cue, danced with the girls at the reception for a bit and then paid up when the bills came due.
The Father of the Bride is just kinda outranked by EVERYBODY.
(With all these million-dollar grandkids...along with the GREAT grandkids now...I’d still claim it as the best deal I’ve ever got into.)
