I see we’ve reached a trade deal. It allows more access to Canadian dairy markets. I am very curious as to how this is going to fly with our “supply management” deal some farmers have up here. It’s quite the nice gig for them - they are guaranteed artificially high prices on their products because they don’t have to worry about competition. It will be interesting to watch and see what happens in our stores - more product from America at lower prices? Gee, all of the people who want Canadian farmers protected won’t have to cross the border to buy their dairy products for much cheaper!
I suspect the Quebec, and some Ontario farmers aren’t going to be thrilled with Little Justin. He’ll probably have to send some tax dollars their way.
