Back in the late sixties in Madison, Wisconsin, I politely held the door open to a convenience store for two college-aged females. One of them punched me in the groin and called me a sexist pig for doing so.
The proprietor threw them both out and threatend to call the police. He warned me that this was our future.
Wow. Even back then....no wonder we’re in such a mess.
That’s horrible! I was always for women’s rights, especially as far as equal pay and treatment at work, but I never wanted men to stop being men and treating me like a lady. I’ve known women that didn’t like chivalry, and there was no reasoning with them. I’ve known women that would have broken relationships just because the guy asked them to get them something from the kitchen, yet they demanded the guy wait on them all the time. They didn’t get that that was not equal treatment. It was special treatment for women. Unfortunately, that is what the feminist movement has become.
