Kek is the deification of the concept of primordial darkness in the Ancient Egyptian Ogdoad cosmogony of Hermopolis. Kek is represented as a frog. This is why you see Pepe the Frog all over the place. When people reply with KEK or top KEK, it is more of a nod of agreement or amazement and not necessarily LOL.
This obsession with Kek derived from 4Chan pol board during the 2016 election. They believed that Kek had been summoned to cause chaos and help DJT win to save the world knowing it was all hyperbole. A lot of folks at Reddit the_Donald picked it up and further pushed the hyperbole into calling Trump God Emperor of the United States (GEOTUS).
You may have also heard the term “Pedes” referring to Trump supporters. This derives from the word centiPEDE, meaning nimble navigator. Although these musings are fun hyperbole, the Pedes believe (as does Q and I) that meme magic is real. They consider themselves as veterans of the First Great Meme War. They further believe that the memes originating at the Chans and Reddit helped win the election. We are in the midst of the Second Great Meme War with Q as our leader.
And as an aside, this Pede movement grew out of Gamergate. In a nutshell gamers were sick and tired of SJWs taking over their gaming platforms and introducing SJW crapola into their games. It’s more complicated than that, but look it up for more info.
Thanks, I did not know that.
Fascinating. Thank you.
Thank Q for the kek exp. My grandkids are continually surprised at how much of their lingo I know. I told one I had a Twitch account...”Mimi, are you turning into a gamer???!!!” I said no, I just follow some Utoobers to Twitch...immediately he wants to know what they’re into. I’ll never tell him...but if he ever wonders why I know so much about police stops....
Wow, thats interesting!
