Excellent point, but, they have to deal with corroborative, evidence, hard copy, vetting witnesses, rejecting unsubstantiated moles, etc. Business licensing had to go thru FOIA scrutiny, all takes time, costs money, needs permission, some need warrants to be admissible evidence. A lot harder to get usable evidence. General Google info and reporting on FR with links is not necessarily admissible evidence.

The info we share paints with a broad brush and is for our use. It could be a roadmap for FBI info, but I am sure they know about this stuff. NCIS sure does, wouldn’t you love the tech they show on TV...LOL

Hell, the info about the houses and huge mortagages comes straight from public records, as does much of the rest. Investigation means you check all leads with the most obvious and pertinent ones first...especially those that go to motive, not nebulous 6 part telegraph, I heard from .. Who heard from... Who know some one who....

Then again, corrupt FLEOs...’nuf said.
