It is scary that this lunacy is happening in a US Senate hearing on live nationwide TV. It is a sign that the nation as a serious entity has jumped the shark. LIke when one of the Roman emperors made his horse proconsul. He did it as an in your face to the Roman senate, to show that he could and they couldn’t do anything about it. He had total control. Democrats are trying to show that they have total control and will do anything, including name their horse to the Supreme Court, to keep it. And the people who support them will be fine with that.
The only thin that can restore some semblance of seriousness to our country would be if Kavanaugh is confirmed, and those who put together this conspiracy to destroy a man who has lived an exemplary life go to jail for perjury, suborning perjury, fraud and whatever other crimes can be asserted from this event. Then and only then can we start to put the pieces back together. I hope Trump is calling Wray right now getting the warrants and the investigative teams put together.
