I looked at the Washington Post and NY Times websites today.
They each have a picture from Kavanaugh’s 1982 datebook.
He kept the datebook for 35 years.
The handwriting is neat.
Kavanaugh was highly organized and goal directed even back then in high school.
I’m sure he knew he was going to be a target for sex smears and could withstand them.
The Democrats will be far more careful in the future, so the sex smear tool can remain in their political toolbox.
Feinstein had fully justified doubts about using the sex smear tool.
I will say this smear appears to have been their very last resort, after all else had failed. It is not risk-free. It can easily boomerang on Dems in many ways.
But if it keeps Judge K. off the court and destroys the process they’ll count that as a win.
