The Senate, by rule, cannot start and finish the vote on the same day. There has to be a 48 hr period in between.
Mitch is holding the Senate over for the weekend so that the procedure can begin Sat and the vote can be made Monday.

This is my understanding. Correct me if I’m wrong, ma.

That is exactly what I understand too.

So very confusing as we out here in the hinderland try to navigate the workings of the government.

Hatch brings up that it has been 81 days since Kav was nominated, has sat for over 30 hours of questioning, going through what has gone on.....

Not sure if I can sit through more smears and snarky nastiness from the dims.
