BREAKING: Christine Blasey Fords Lawyers Seek Extension of Grassleys 10 PM Deadline
Senate Republicans made a counteroffer to Brett Kavanaughs accuser Christine Blasey Ford early Friday afternoon.
Fords lawyers had until 10 PM Friday to work out the terms for next weeks hearing, Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley said Friday evening.
The accuser responded through her lawyers shortly before the 10 PM deadline Friday evening.
Fords attorneys are seeking a delaySHOCKER!
Via Politico:
Attorneys for Christine Blasey Ford on Friday night decried an arbitrary deadline set by Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) for her to respond to negotiations to testify about her sexual assault allegation against Brett Kavanaugh, seeking an additional day to reply.
Its sole purpose is to bully Dr. Ford and deprive her of the ability to make a considered decision that has life-altering implications for her and her family, Katz wrote in an email obtained by POLITICO.
More from FOX News Congress reporter Chad Pergram:
Ford counsel to Judiciary Cmte: Incredibly, you did so well before the 10:00 pm deadline you..arbitrarily imposed just hrs before. The imposition of aggressive & artificial deadlines regarding the date & conditions..has created tremendous & unwarranted anxiety and stress on..Ford

Lisa Murkowski announced that she cannot vote on Brett Kavanaugh until she hears from Ford. Here we go. I am beyond disgusted.
It was arbitrary (or contrived) for DiFi to squat on the letter until the last minute. It was arbitrary when the FBI got the letter. It was arbitrary when Ford delivered the letter to WaPo.....but is was planned for the committee chair to get the process going.
Is there any doubt about who is running this show? Grassley continues to give ground while never even asking for an unredacted copy of the accuser's original letter. What a FLOP of a representative! The Dems are well on their way to keeping Kavanaugh off the bench for the October 1 SCOTUS opening... now they just have to delay until January when they control the Senate {they say} and then we will see if elections have consequences... Ptah!
