When Sherman died, he was under investigation for an illegal fundraiser he held for Justin Trudeau. (In Canada you can't be both a fundraiser and a lobbyist.)
Justin Trudeau used Canadian taxpayers' money to make a donation to the Clinton Foundation, which possibly then made a donation back to the Justin Trudeau Foundation. The Trudeau Foundation started taking in much more money after Justin became Prime Minister. (Coincidence? I think not.)
