field grade officers are generally considered Major\Lt. Col.\Col. in Marines\Army\AF.
I wonder why they and\or generals should know Constitutional Law ?

Perhaps because it is their duty to defend the Constitution. The officer's oath:

I ___, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

Because one studies that which one is sworn (even unto death) to uphold!

These are proffessional duties of not just soldiers and sailors, but in fact are the reasonable study of EVERY FREE AMERICAN!
