You know he actually died in an old soldiers home down in Santa Monica? Only there for about a month before dying.

Awwwww. Why'd you have to tell me that.

You just totally ruined it for me.

:(

He was 75. After the movie came out some student petitioned to have him returned to Wyoming. He was reburied out there later in 70’s, Redford was one of the pallbearers.

It’s weird to see an individual have that kind of life and then end up dying in a home. My GG grandfather was born in 1862 and we have a 5 gen picture with him holding me, around 1966/67. He just missed the moon landing.

It was a letdown to find out he ended up in a cemetery in Kalifornia.

From Wiki:

His final residence was in a veterans home in Santa Monica, California. He was there for exactly one month before dying on January 21, 1900. His body was buried in a Los Angeles veterans’ cemetery. However, after a six-month campaign led by 25 seventh-grade students and their teacher, Johnson’s remains were relocated to Cody, Wyoming, in June 1974.

I think Robert Redford had something to do with relocating Liver Eatin’. So that’s one thing good about him.

Read Crow Killer if you can find it.
