Yes, but generally indirectly.

In other words, “I have an 83% chance of success using [model A], and a 5% chance of success using [model B], therefore I choose [model A].”

Typically you don’t know how the 83% was accumulated, just that it is 83%.

Based on the article, the “how” could be as simple as, “I’m closest to you, so we’ll trade”, run through many generations.
