Sessions has been sidelined by the WH and by his recusal. POTUS is sincere. No game in tweets lamenting choice of Sessions.
Sessions can’t be replaced because Dems will cry obstruction creating campaign issue. Sessions is to stay as a figurehead with minimal duties until after Midterms, then he steps down.
Sessions is recused from most important fight. Recusal means he cannot even receive a memo about RR and Mueller plot to bring down POTUS.
POTUS saw early that Sessions was wrong choice, more a politician than a prosecutor. Sessions is a nice fellow, just not the person for the job.
POTUS saw deficiency in Sessions, realized not able to fire Sessions, so arranged with help of extremely competent WH lawyers to bypass Sessions by causing Huber to be assigned to work with 450 attorneys under IG Horowitz.
Huber is the defacto AG, reporting ceremoniously on unrecused matters to Sessions and recused matters to WH Attorneys for all matters related to alleged Russia collusion. Huber is working as de facto SC. Q alluded to to this in several drops. Dicey situation for POTUS to have reports of Russia connected deep state reports flashed in PDB while parallel Mueller investigation continues. Minefield. POTUS doing great regardless.
FISA abuse, 302 abuse. FISC deficiencies and abridgment of rights, all are matters in hands of IG and Huber. Sessions is hands off by his recusal. Recusal was not strategic. Recusal was Sessions playing politics. Recusal caused POTUS headache, caused Huber and others to be reviewed for selections in Summer of 2017 with formal role assigned in November 2017.
POTUS’s tweets against Sessions designed to prepare for Sessions departure and to apprise public of POTUS’s frustration, how POTUS is tied up by Sessions recusal. There is no secret game played with Sessions and POTUS roleplaying. Because Session’s recusal has impaired AG office, nothing can be touching matters of Russia, meaning work of Mueller, RR oversight of Mueller, and all deep state bad actors Comey, McCabe, Yates, Strzok, L Page, Ohr 1, Ohr 2, Baker, Weissman, Rybicki, many, many others. Sessions recusal forecloses any involvement with any of that by Sessions, by his office of AG. Sessions can focus on Marijuana, border, deportations, child trafficking, etc.
Sessions recusal rendered him less than half an AG. People are in denial. People having weird ideations that some grand plot of POTUS and Sessions is afoot. Such plot ideations are reading too much into it. Same that people think Mueller is a White Hat, RR is a White Hat. Such convoluted thinking is result of people trying to make sense of dissonance. Facts are POTUS has bypassed AG and DAG to amass army of lawyers via Huber and Horowitz.
POTUS needed to take this action. Much of MAGA agenda and Trump Presidency rely on it.
A top-shelf AG could have handled all above, brought many deep state bad actors to justice sooner, never allowing a dem installed SC to hurt decent people. Manafort is a decent person, Papadopoulos is a decent person, Cohen is a decent person. None are perfect but all are decent in context of dirty game of politics.
Therefore, Mueller’s only accomplishment has been to hurt good people and foment democrat base Trump haters. Nothing else accomplished by Mueller, nothing of value to country.
With smart high-energy AG, RR would have been caught sooner on FISA rubberstamping, bowing to will of Clinton crime syndicate.
All deep state intermediaries, assets, like Mifsud, Downer, Halper, and many more would have been caught sooner with competent full engaged AG, no recusal.
Sessions will be gone in two months. Don’t get hung up on him. He’s not worth it. He remains only because of optics, of quashing potential campaign issue of obstruction, Saturday Night Massacre accusations, comparisons.
All the cleanup to date is by actions of POTUS, not by Sessions; Sessions is recused. Sessions is bypassed but retains ceremonial role in some matters. POTUS is in charge but POTUS wants real AG that assumes full responsibilities and will meet POTUS’s standards of performance which are very high.
