1987 crash ended the airline. People in California were calling it People Scattered All Over.

I think this one would get savaged today for cultural appropriation.

Nah, too many now know that was an older Italian guy.

BTW, the Granny Goose ad above didn’t originally have the trash can, but the company got so many complaints about encouraging littering they added it.

They pretty much did back then. That’s why the ad campaign ended.

I really liked that grenade launcher, Tommy gun, cap pistol converts gun! And I always wanted a bazooka too! Those were fun toys!

I enjoyed those old commercials. Many of them brought back some wonderful memories.

Wasn’t there an old tv ad for cigarettes that showed a person with black makeup around one eye, like he or she had been in a fight and the logo was “I’d rather fight than switch”? What was that? I was very young when there were still cigarette ads on tv, but some were very catchy.

I recently saw a yellow pages ad for a body shop in an old telephone book. The image in the ad depicted an accident scene in which a woman driver had just t-boned a male driver. The man was checking out the damage to his car, and the woman was standing there with her palms raised, and a mystified innocent look on her face.

Oh, no! Is that for real, or is it photo-shopped? Very funny.
