Monday night’s game against Va Tech must have been too much for him.

I loved him on Jeopardy playing against Sean Connery.

in my very strict nursing school, some of the kids taped the Cosmo page with Burt in his underwear on the chief Nun's door....lol...she was not happy....of course the kids were caught because we had an evil snitch in our class.....

He had a long and good run.
May he rest in peace.
Side note: I'm always surprised when people are surprised when elderly people die.
Do they believe the elderly and famous are exempt?
To: Vendome
Glad my Mom passed away 3 months ago.
This is the kind of news that would have killed her...

Yeah he absolutely defined the 70’s.
Had a rough time in recent years though. I’d read that he was nearly bankrupt.
RIP

Oh, no ... one of my all time favorites. Loved him on Johnny Carson. If Smokey & the Bandit came on TV, I would drop whatever I was doing and would watch it. Sad day.

He hadn’t looked very good for quite a few years. Sorry for the news.
To: ColdOne
RIP, Burt. Thanks for many great memories.
To: Fast Moving Angel
Burt was a riot when he was on The Tonight Show.

RIP, my favourites of his were Smokey and the Bandit, Hooper, and City Heat (and Hustle was not bad either). Riverboat is one classic TV title that does not seem to be shown on the nostalgia channels, but I would still like to see episodes of. Any thoughts on that one? And also Dan August.
