Back in the day.
So many twists and turns in this rabbit hole. There is a list of the journalists included in this project. I just bet they “know things.” It would be interesting to see where they are/where they stand today.
ABSOLUTELY. Many things are not as they seem--many layers deep and from horizon to horizon.
Am reminded of the old story ... 2 angels first stayed at a wealthy man's house. Instead of a plush bedroom, he told them to sleep in the basement. The head angel patched a hole in the wall. The next night, they stayed with a poor farmer. Their one family cow died.
Leaving, the Jr angel couldn't understand why the head angel had patched the wealthy jerk's wall in the basement. The Sr angel said there was a big treasure in the hole and he wanted to prevent the jerk from finding it.
What about the cow? The death angel had come for the man's wife but the Sr angel substituted the cow, instead.
Lots of things are not as they seem. In many respects, we are still staring at the back of Plato's cave wall. Very little of this is out in the broad sunlight of the day, yet.
As usual, humility is still in order.
