I thought they were trying to pass the House version without changes so there would not be a conference. Don’t know for sure. In any event, it should be tried. If the vote was back before the Alabama vote, then McCain’s replacement wouldn’t change things unless one of the Republicans decided to go to our side. It would be a good way to force Manchin to expose himself with the election coming up. Come on, Mitch, do it!

the House repeal was more robust than the last minute skinny repeal voted on by the Senate. The article talks more than a little bit about going to conference.
