Democratic candidate and Mayor of Tallahassee Andrew Gillum has a slight lead over U.S. Representative and Republican candidate Ron DeSantis in Florida's governor's race, according to a new poll by Quinnipiac University.

The poll found that 50 percent of likely voters would vote Gillum, and 47 percent would vote DeSantis.

Men back DeSantis 52 to 45 percent, while women back Gillum 55 to 42 percent, according to the poll.

The fact of the matter is, too, that it wouldn’t honestly be that hard for pollsters like Quinnipiac to fix their polls. They could specifically target rural areas, talk to suburban areas and create samples that weren’t as ridiculously low as 795. But they won’t. They are too caught up in their misssion of pleasing their liberal clients. And they don’t have to, either. CNN and PMSNBC still put chronically wrong Nate Silver on their air. Heck, FOX and the other two still put Larry Sabato on their air like he’s some kind of expert and not an idiot blowhard who totally boned his ONE JOB in the last election. At the very least Fox should have a policy of banning pollsters who are always wrong from its airwaves.

It’ll move our way - the fact is that most people in Florida have never heard of either and about all they know is that DeSantis made a monkey comment. The fallout from that (fake news racism) is still into the numbers, but quickly fading. By the time people start voting, the people will know just who this Democrat is and what he represents, whether the left likes it or not.

I hate the black socialists is on the ticket because more blacks may turn out to vote just because he’s black.

I agree. And all the black stars on social media like LeBiscuit James (formerly of the Miaimi Heat) will GOTV for Gillum. This will be a close race. Some folks are whistling past the graveyard in this thread, IMO.

Rick Scott isn’t running for governor.

I understand that Scott is not running for governor. But as governor, he has done a pretty good job by most accounts. And
I can’t believe he would lose votes running statewide in the same state, even if he is running for senate rather than governor. He is known. He is liked. And I think he will win by at least 5 points.

Gillum will start sinking when people start hearing of his corruption & FBI Investigation + DeSantis will start hitting him on what he has done to Tallahassee

It’s like Dems and the media overlords are “monkeying around” with the polls.

Not sure what you’re talking about with Rick Scott losing votes as he is considered ahead of Bill Nelson and by a wide margin.

Sadly. Real Clear Politics relies on Pollsters that have no idea how to accurately measure the Trump effect!!! Just ignore the polls, and do your own thing!!!

Voter fraud will get him ‘elected’. The pattern is established... - the person who’s NOT a socialist will poll higher - then in a ‘surprise vote’ the commie will win

It’s not Russians - it looks like home grown communism...
