Democratic candidate and Mayor of Tallahassee Andrew Gillum has a slight lead over U.S. Representative and Republican candidate Ron DeSantis in Florida's governor's race, according to a new poll by Quinnipiac University.
The poll found that 50 percent of likely voters would vote Gillum, and 47 percent would vote DeSantis.
Men back DeSantis 52 to 45 percent, while women back Gillum 55 to 42 percent, according to the poll.

“I think all of the polling throughout this race is going to reflect an extreme Wilder Effect.”
The Wilder Effect was also relevant in the 2008 and 1012 presidential elections.
BS
A liberal friend excitedly told me that given the polling and result of the primary, Gillum must be further ahead than polls are showing now in the general. Hopefully not.
Scott’s actually doing pretty well vs. Nelson in the Senate race. Are you thinking of DeSantis?
Rick Scott isn’t running for governor.
Far too many women believe in the goodness of the collective.
I hate the black socialists is on the ticket because more blacks may turn out to vote just because he’s black. The senate race is supposed to be very close and it may have a slight impact on it. Bill Nelson is useless and needs to go.
How sad
Florida has to people running most people never heard of
It’s been documented that the media publishes bogus polls when an election draws near, all in an attempt to depress conservative turnout.
Remind your friend that 200,000 more Republicans came out to vote in the Republican primary than in the Democratic primary, and DeSantis finished with almost twice as many votes as Gillum.
Tallahassee is also one of the worst cities in Florida for crime. Gillum is the mayor.
This one won’t even be close
You gotta be kidding!
You gotta be kidding!
They specialize in push polling for the left wing media pals .
How is anyone stupid enough to vote socialist?
The question is how many polls concerning the Florida governors race are being taken?
The challenge for a given media outlet is to find and reference only the polls, if any, that support the special-interest agenda that media outlet is being paid big bucks to push.
Saw this reported on local Miami media today. The leftist media is THRILLED.
Gillums win was a big ness story. As the voters learn more about him I think, He will surely lose.
A Quinnipiac poll is absolutely worthless
My money ($100) is literally on DeSantis. I hope he appreciates the support from Wyoming!
