No, it definitely does not.

However, I would not send this young lady, or any other person for that matter, on this mission, because the technology to safely accomplish it simply does not exist.

It doesn’t, but I think it will. In the meantime, young people with an adventurous spirit can only be an asset.

Spoken just like those who were opposed to going to the moon in the 1960s. I remember them well. Apollo was wondrous, and really did go to the moon, by the way.

The technology to safely cross the Atlantic Ocean did not exist when the first settlers came to the New World. They came anyway. Men, women, and children. Almost half of the Mayflower colonists died the first winter, many of them women and children.
