Those who take potshots are followers who want to be leaders but don’t quite have the courage. They are jealous and acting out. They crave attention.

0 Some of the driveby posters who take potshots just need attention. They don’t know how to get it in a positive way. They desperately want people to like them but they secretly are afraid that no one will. If they put themselves out there in a genuine way and nobody likes them, they would be crushed. It’s much simpler to behave obnoxiously because then when no one likes you, you have an excuse: they just don’t “get” my snarky style.

It’s so much easier to criticize than it is to put yourself out there and try to make constructive posts. Nearly all of us who have posted opinions and theories have been wrong about things. Fellow FReeQs correct our mistakes. And we learn from that. Fellow FReeQs argue with us about our theories and we either sharpen our arguments or modify our theories. All of that is good and constructive.
