Having been in more than my share of life-threatening situations, it’s actually a very helpful self-defense/coping mechanism. Laughter is truly the best medicine (unless you’re actually dying, of course)
Saw this happen to a pair of kayakers off the coast of Alaska, by an orca. It deliberately breached by them and soaked them, never was aggressive, just playing with them.
Yes. My ex boyfriend and I made a terrible mistake once and decided to go for a VFR landing of his single engine Mooney in IFR conditions. When we finally got on the ground we erupted into hysterical laughter. Could not stop laughing.
