Can it survive one competitive 16 mile lap at Nürburgring?

We are going next summer. You have to be 18 to drive and my son doesn't turn 18 until next June. I just want to go to the Hertz counter at the airport in Frankfort, rent a Golf (or similar) and go drive it like I stole it. It's only 30 Euros (or less if you buy in bulk) for a lap.

I had no idea that non-professionals could drive on the track.

Just recently, a new lap record was set at Nürburgring - one car, no one else on the track.
