I noticed the ropes, tied in loops. I also noticed the rust coloration at the crease in the bottom of the pool near the drains.
This looks like a place where you’d hang game for exsanguination.
You put this with the bound children in the painting, with the lines near their necks, and it was my stomach turning (not my mind) that led me to that particular possible conclusion.
This could be a place where ‘game’ is hung and bled prior to dressing and butchering. I’m getting sick writing these words.
By ‘bound’, I’m taking that from the discoloration of the feet in the painting. They look like ligature marks.
Oh, and the discoloration of the hands of the children? Has the look of someone trying to claw out of something out of terror.
