Yes, Trump got "only" 46% of the popular vote But Clinton got even less in 1992, only 43%.
And no one ever said he was "illegitimate" because of it, in fact no one even talked about it. DOUBLE STANDARD.
In both cases it really is a non-issues, because the Electoral College is what counts, and Trump's victory there wasn't particularly close. (307 EVs) And neither was Clinton's (370 EVs). And thats just how we elect the President in These United States!
