They say he learned ‘playing video games’ but no one notes how realistic programs like Micro$oft Flight Simulator are. They have the layouts of the airports, the cockpits are very detailed, or so I understand, I imagine you could learn everything you would need to know from one of those sims. Except, of course, what to do when things go wrong.

I started flying again after 12 years off. I used MFS and X-Plane to rebuild my skills before getting back into the cockpit. You can setup the sim to have random faults and weather changes that prepare you for when things go wrong for real.
