Regarding whether Rich was white hat or black hat...
Some questions gathered from my other posts:
If Rich was a black hat,
Could the white hats have gotten control remotely, and routed the plane away from populated areas & let it ditch when out of fuel?

Flight path in third link in haffast’s post shows a meandering path from southwest of SeaTac down towards McChord base, then over the Olympia mountain range, back towards McChord, then circling that little island, then going off-radar.

how’d he survive without an eject seat?

Why steal a plane and then bail when it runs out out of gas?
I don’t think Rich was a white or black hat. I believe he was a suicidal guy who spent a lot of time on his X-box, which is the modern day equivalent of a simulator.
For Christmas, I’m going to tell my kids I want an X-Box and Grand Theft Auto. Why? Because the new Mustangs are out...and I might see one that needs some fast driving somewhere!

Time of plane crash reported being about 9:30 pm PT Friday night. Q's post od IRON EAGLE was about noon yesterday. Is Q's IRON EAGLE post tied to this plane crash?
Another what-if - what if Rich was the pilot, but he was remotely piloting the plane? Just playing around until the final “landing”.
Someone advanced the theory that he was a white hat, but suppose that he was flying this thing (or had someone with him flying it) while he was comfy on the ground in a safe space.
of course, they found the wreckage and human remains - supposedly. But the FBI is involved, so that makes all statements questionable at this point.
