I served for 31 years in the U. S. Army, the majority of that time in Special Forces where I was responsible for operations and planning for countering terrorism, insurgency, and espionage. During my military career I advised US Governmental Agencies/Activities and Foreign Governments, which included six years in Latin America, six years in Western and Eastern Europe, and fifteen years between Northeast and Southeast Asia orienting on holistic political, economic, and security stability with specific emphasis on threat, vulnerability, and risk assessment. I have led or facilitated the development of plans and countermeasures to ensure continuity of operations for both government and commercial interests in cross cultural settings from grass roots to national policy levels.
Special Operations: (US Joint and Combined) Targeting, Plans, Operations, and Training: Duties primarily involved participation in a US Army Special Forces team or detachment conducting unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, strike operations, special reconnaissance, counter-insurgency, and counter terrorism, working unilaterally or with foreign military forces in jungle, mountain, desert, urban, maritime and winter environments. As an advisor to friendly foreign governments and US Federal Agencies overseas, I developed and facilitated implementation of measures to detect and counter illicit transfers of human and material contraband. Some more Ketron Island info. This from the GA board on Reddit.

There is a street on Ketron island called “Leshi street”, looks to butt up right by deeper forest where the plane crashed.
After some research it seems a Leshi (Leshy) is a slavic forest god who “leads travelers astray and abducts children” - strange.
