I’ve been off the thread for a couple of days. In checking the chans re today’s q drop about the SeaTac event, one chan parsed the drop and surmised to focus on Ketron island and not the USS Richard Russell.
So I started looking at KI and found this interesting. A retired Army Special Forces member lives on the island and helped the fire/rescue people get to the crash site by clearing a path.
Only because nothing ever appears as it seems, it may be worth looking up this “retiree”.
Ronald Scheckler is the retired Special Forces guy on Ketron Island. I found his name in some minutes of a meeting regarding the ferry service. His comment implied he’s been there over 15 years. His wife is a teacher in Pierce County somewhere.
