+1 on this. Also, in Phoenix, Camelback Mountain is a nice afternoon trip. Saguaro Lake is very nice and watch a sunset shining on the Superstition Mountains!

shhh Sedona is just amazing but the tourists have discovered it. On weekends it is overrun by Rats from CA. They recently began allowing short term rentals it really changed place and not for the better.
