Jim Bridenstine, NSA administrator, was on Stewart Varney explaining the Space Force. It has to do with electronic security, GPS security, etc. So an extension of cyber security but space is connected to so much, including farming, banking, all kinds of things. I had not considered the broad scope of protecting satellites from jamming, damage, etc.

I should have added hacking to the list of concerns.

INteresting. I recall Obama tasked NASA with bridging the gap between Muslims and the rest of the world. Seems theres some leeway in defining coverage. But once you pointed it out re Space Force, it does make sense. :)
