Prosecutors say an Arkansas teenager who's not a pilot has been charged with trying to steal an American Eagle passenger jet from Texarkana Regional Airport to fly to an out-of-state rap concert.

Miller County jail records show Zemarcuis Devon Scott, 18, of Texarkana was held Wednesday on commercial burglary and attempted theft of property charges.

First of all, he’d never even get it started, so he’s not going to “steal” it.

He has no idea of the ground support it takes to even back the plane out and point it toward the runway.

Total Darwin award.

Darwin award contestant?

Absolutely. I believe this could be described as industrial strength stupid.
It reminds me of a dude, stationed in England, in 1969, who stole a C-130, and tried to fly it to the states. He crashed in the English Channel, so he was already heading in the wrong direction. I was at a different base, but we heard about it. No one knows for sure if he crashed, or was shot down.

he didn't think there was much more to flying than pushing buttons and pulling levers.

Ha, idiot.

You have to push peddles and talk on the radio too!

Also, you can hack into any computer in under 5 minutes just by typing some stuff. Likewise, jumping 20 to 30 feet from one building to another is actually very easy..” Just saw the new m.i movie. tom cruise must have monkey grip forearms. Never seen a guy climb a rope so many times and hang so long. and he can sprint for at least a mile.. OTOH.. Actually the movie was really good.

And a Colt sixgun fires eighteen shots without reloading.

And if a prairie housewife fires her husband’s rifle into the air with her eyes closed, she will kill an Indian on a fast horse 500 yards away.

Just saw the same Tom Cruise movie.

They could have just left the "plot" out completely (it was that stupid) and gone with the stunts: car chases, motorcycle chases, roof top to roof top chases, truck chases, helicopter chases. Pretty amazing stunts. How do they DO that? Computer generated?

Incorrect. Proper hacking should take 30 seconds of FURIOUS typing, and is only successful when you look up to your teammates and, with a very serious expression, declare "I'm in."

What? He couldn’t find a bigger plane?

😁 Two things I think, but don’t know for sure. I heard he worked on C-130s, and I don’t know what other aircraft were stationed there. I heard he was drunked up, so he didn’t think it through very well. I don’t think a C-130 has enough fuel to fly all the way to the states. It’s amazing he was able to get the aircraft off the ground at all. I tried to fly a C-5 simulator once. All I wanted to do, was keep the aircraft in straight and level flight. I couldn’t even do that. I crashed, every time I tried. I didn’t even want to turn, just fly straight and level. I couldn’t do it. 👎

It must be easy. After all, Trayvon Martin received a posthumous bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science. /s
