i see the 3 red x's all over twitter, reddit, disqus etc. at this point I just think it is followers that want to mimic the person they are following so they make a similar twitter handle. I'd need more info that it isn't just a bunch of wanna be's trying to fit in.
but i could be convinced if more info becomes available
