“Why was Rachel Brand removed?”
Rachel Brand was the # 3 person at DOJ behind RR. She, “stepped down” at the time when it was thought she would have to lead the Russia probe because RR was conflicted and might have to recuse himself but, she is married to Jonathan Cohn who is a senior HuffPo editor.
She seemed like a conservative contributor from the Bush wing of the Uniparty but she might have other loyalties (or was leaking)?

Geez I remember when she left and there was some noise about why but I am not sure it was ever fully explained.
It may have been she saw where this whole mess was going and did not want her career damaged by it.
If I see anything from that time, I’ll make a note and let ya know.
why use the word “removed” ? I still haven’t found a smoking gun re: that word.
