I think we're all pretty adept at identifying trolls after a few attempts at engaging with them. We know who they are. We've been infiltrated and our normalcy bias want to tell us it's just the interwebz as usual. I'm afraid it's not.

Speaking personally, it is difficult to ignore them.
However, Ignore them is our most effective weapon!

I think SOME of the FR trolls are people who value their own viewpoint too highly and just don’t want to admit “Hey, maybe I was wrong about Q”. But the majority are just regular trolls. I know because of posting history of a few of them.
All that matters is Truth.

I agree, I have a lot of patience but the same ones who continue to disrupt these threads over and over again, I do tend to lose patience with them. Especially when it's the same old out-dated talking points.
I've dealt with a lot of trolls around the net for years. I have to remind myself, the pro trolls who do this on purpose, don't do it to change our minds but they hope to influence those on the fence who lurk on these threads.
That's why sometimes it's good to counter them with good positive truth. I do understand where you're coming from though and ignoring them does work. I do try my best.
