I have said the same thing... there were witnesses on some of the islands talking about a plane on fire at low altitude... I think it was hijacked and they turned back toward the towers in Kuala Lumpur and were shot down... then memory holed
Yep. Something about the way it was handled makes the Malaysian government (and probably others) look very bad - perhaps the idea that your flight will be shot down by a local air force if it ever gets hijacked. If the plane was disabled and depressurized but not destroyed, it could have made that theorized 4,000 mile flight into the South Indian Ocean on autopilot.
