I suspect that they were lending first aid to each other as well. They were presumably following Jesus’ command to love your enemies.

Likewise, in WWI, the Americans and Germans would have a temporary truce each Christmas so that they could celebrate this high holy day in their respective trenches. Then they would go back to shooting and, in the case of the Germans, gassing the next day.

I figure any "new civil war" will be like the Tet Offensive...every day! The Liberal Leftists will have their hands full trying to keep the riots within their own city hellholes at bay, and will not be able to do much more than incursion type of attacks, when opportunities strike.

For those of us outside of the big cities or in areas where the bigger cities will be secured by the Conservatives, will have to worry about the Tet Offensive style incursion attacks and counter-attacks from the Liberal Leftists (until they realize theirs is a losing battle).

My biggest worry is that the Liberal Leftists will go Sherman-to-the-sea crazy and start really terrorizing people. The reason this worries me, is because I don't think there are any countries out there who would really even CARE about such abuse! And they would care even less, if it required actual military support (there are no 1700's-1800's French-style countries left out there to provide moral and armament support)!
