I am running across more info ( true or not, who knows - Thanx, thanx a lot Jocko) where the NYPD never seized the laptop.

The attachments say that Weiner turned in his devices to: Granite Intelligence LLC 9/23/2016. ( why does a private firm need a warrant ? unless acting on behalf of LEO or Feds ?)
The Feds got permission to get the devices 9/26/2016.
No mention of NYPD.
The Feds then needed a warrant to search the devices. Again no mention of NYPD.

I’m starting to think more heavily that True Pundit and Erik Prince are full of sanitary canal water when it comes to the NYPD and NYPD quotes.

I read it in a number of places. Its not a single source story. I think they really did have it for a period who knows how long.But once they have had it it’s likely they made copies.
My moderately faint memory is that a Commissioner or some such upper level member of the NYPD was furious at what they found on the laptop. There were a few paragraphs related to that. And then the story was quickly . . . squashed or at least rationalized away etc. I don’t have any memory of other ref data points. Sorry.

Now, today, the Inspector General confirmed the FBI knew there was evidence on Anthony Weiner’s laptop and Hillary Clinton’s emails linked to sex crimes against children.
And James Comey was briefed about it.

Now, today, sex crimes with minors is mentioned several times in the 500-page IG report.
Here is the first, where a FBI investigator testifies he debriefed Comey on the materials after being notified of the sex-crimes-linked intelligence from the FBI’s Criminal Investigative Division. Page 294:
Under the heading — “Hillary Clinton & Foundation Crime Against Children:”
Comey, it appears, claims he was never told about this. Convenient.
It’s comforting to know a report of sex crimes linked to the former secretary of state, former U.S. senator and former First Lady would not be remembered by the FBI director.

Above appears to be the smoking gun establishing the story line that the NYPD originally got the laptop went through it looking for Weiner pedo crimes and were shocked at what they found.
Eventually they turned it over to the FBI.
Looks real to me.
