BTW, the Republic of China (Taiwan) still flies the original flag of 1912 designed by Dr. Sun Yat Sen. The Beijing version only dates from 1949.

The current Chinese anthem was written during WWII, and reflects the struggle against Japan. It was NOT written
by a communist, but has become a famous march.
It replaced “The East is Red”, which was a paean of praise to Mao.
No longer Americas’ pastime.
Sounds like the team has been Shanghaied.
I only stand for the display of the American Flag while the Star Spangle Banner is being played.
When the anthem of China, Russia, Venezuela, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Zimbabwe or any other country run by Criminals and Miscreants is being played, I expect to be in the lavatory taking care of private business.
