Years ago I visited an Australian Outback town called Broken Hill.It was summer, hot as hell.Walking down a sidewalk I saw an Aborigine guy who was so black that he was actually blue."Shocking" is how I'd describe the experience.
But he,like me,was a child of God so,of course,he was neither superior nor inferior to me...just different "packaging".
The whole time I was stationed in Woomera, South Australia, a couple of hundred miles west of Broken Hill, the forecast on telly was, almost always, as follows:
“And in Broken Hill, hot.”
We used to joke about it. We were hot, too.
Saw plenty of Abos. I dated one half abo girl, she was very attractive, looked like an Asian Indian.
The Sapphires, a half white, half aboriginal girl group:
BTW, back in 1982, they called themselves Abos. Now I heard that's a bad word to say.
Notice how conditioned you are to qualify every utterance about race
This is how they won
I quit doing it
