I love the Bible, but this place has been dated as more than 11,000 years old. If the dating is reasonably accurate, this place predates anything in the Bible other than Creation itself.
The site is well preserved for its age because it was intentionally buried long ago. The hill they’re excavating is artificial. That was no small undertaking, so whoever did it must have thought they had a good reason to hide this place.
If someday we acquire technology which allows us to view the past in some manner, much of what we think we know about history will be vaporized.
Antediluvian? Why not? But where are the bones? Eleven thousand tears? Just a guess, one would suspect. Seeing how the stones were carved, were they not worshipping idols?
Personally, I don't see any particular contradiction with the Bible story.
