I agree with some other editorials on this. If Trump gets Kavanaugh, great, if the Democrats are able to scuttle him, then Trump puts in a woman and makes all of them eat dirt voting against a woman.
I agree. It's a good move. While I'm not 100% sure of his abortion stance, he so far, appears better than Kennedy.
If they scuttle him, congress gets a less palatable choice and they're cornered on the women issue.

There is way too much political theater in the ideological/gender make up of the court. Should Roe come before the court the optics will see the female jurists defending womens rights. The court would benefit from a jurist who represents American women who are originalists and pro-life - in my experience, a majority. Hopefully next pick.
