Used to always have my hair cut by a man, but the local barbershop began employing women a while back. Kinda nice having a pretty female provide a haircut, and they tend to do a better job than the men. I give at least a 50% tip, often more.

I have had the opposite experience. In Illinois, Jim earned my business when I walked in and said, "What do you want, a regular?" Yes! I wanted a regular. The girl barbers I have had to accept most of the time since moving to Georgia want code numbers and they ask all sorts of questions. Jim has been cutting hair since before I was born, 1961. He told me that people come in saying that they want a haircut like so-and-so's and he tells them that as they don't have a face like so-and-so's it will look like $#!*.

I like a barber who cuts, and fast, and it always looks good (my wife is the final judge). I finally found an old guy who cuts my hair well (as graded by Mrs. Sivana), but we are moving again, so I'll have to see what I can find out in Arizona.
