I found a letter in an old box of junk I bought from some guy in Wisconsin. Rolled inside a paper towel tube was a letter dated 1887 from Grover Cleveland to Queen Victoria congratulating her on her Cherry Jubilee. An auction house confirmed its authenticity and said it could bring upwards of $7000 from the right buyer. Any takers?
What a great find! I’d be very interesting in learning why it was never sent out.
Wondering, did some historical event occur that took his attention, then he forgot about it?
