I think it is possible Soros is a Putin front.

I have to call shenanigans on this one, Dis. Here are some of the reasons why I say that. I basically support what this article says regarding the Soros/Putin dynamic. I don't support the pro-Soros slant.

Why does Vladimir Putin dislike George Soros?

Putin resents Soros for opposing and undermining undermining the USSR. Putin has famously lamented the passing of the USSR.

I think it is likely that Soros opposing Putin is a false pretense.

Here is another perspective, showing that his actions belie some of his words:

If the Soros-backed groups are successful in defanging Burisma’s gas production, they will ironically accomplish the very thing Soros claims he opposes: Ukrainian dependence on Russia.

Soros, a prominent funder of left-wing causes in the United States and Europe, is a vocal critic of Vladimir Putin’s regime. He’s also a proponent of Ukrainian independence. It remains a mystery why he seems to think that rendering the Ukraine wholly reliant on Moscow will advance that country’s freedom.
