The movie was horrible. Hamill was horrible in it. And he's scum. Anyone remember the story about him (unsuccessfully) pressuring his son's girlfriend to get an abortion ?

I saw the Last Jedi last night and this morning after waiting for it to come on streaming.

I thought Episodes 1-3 were bad; this was the worst of all. Epic fail. Hard to believe Solo could be worse, but not surprised if that’s true.

I don’t support Mark Hamill precisely because of that bit you alluded to regarding his grandchild. That and how he’s anti-Trump and anti-Republican.

That said, he does come a bit closer to being conservative compared to the other members of the main cast other than maybe James Earl Jones or possibly Ian McDiarmid (the former’s a registered Republican, and is openly a second amendment supporter, and the latter doesn’t exactly indicate what his own personal politics are, with the closest he ever got to divulging any politics at all was his interview with the Guardian around the time ROTS was released where he mentioned something about fascists taking away freedoms, and even that was under the context of stating what Lucas’ intentions were from what he personally experienced, which doesn’t indicate much on his own personal political philosophy. Well, that, and he did compare Bush to the Sith, though considering he’s actually made comments that indicates he actually LIKES the Sith, that’s in the gray area of whether he’s pro- or anti-Bush.), since he does at least support the second amendment, regarding muskets anyway (going by what he said on Twitter, he supported the right to muskets. Sure, it’s not much, and he might have been sarcastic, but it’s certainly a lot more than his co-star Harrison Ford or especially George Lucas, the former of whom didn’t want any form of firearms at all, and the latter actually made that infamous edit in Episode IV to push gun control in part). Not to mention, as seen in this interview, he at least admits his “peace and love” generation may have made things for the worse, which is more than can be said of Lucas (who still brags proudly about supporting the Vietcong and being against American imperialism as if that was even remotely a good thing instead of him just supporting Communist or even Islamic imperialism.), or other members of his generation on the left for that matter where they’re still prideful of it and/or don’t see that they made the world worse (I’ve had a Chaucer professor who still acts nostalgic about the free sex movement and laments the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment, always finding a way to shove it in to his lectures despite having literally nothing to do with the subject matter at hand, as Jeffrey Chaucer would not have even KNOWN about such subject. Heck, most of the people in charge of education and entertainment make it sound as though the sixties were not only solely about protests, free drugs and sex, or all of that stuff, but that such is actually the way to go and that it DID make for a better world. Just turn on your TV, or even play Peace Walker and listen to Cecile’s May 1968 tape, and you’ll see what I mean.). So while I don’t support him due to his pro-Planned Parenthood stance among others, I can at least respect him for actually recognizing faults of his generation and possibly supporting the second amendment. Now, had he put his realization to action and actually speak out against the left, even go against planned parenthood, I’d probably have even MORE respect for him than I do now.

While I’m certainly no fan of Hamill’s politics, if memory serves, we only saw one side in that article-that of Nathan’s ex girlfriend’s. She supposedly wanted to give the kid up for adoption, yet she wound up keeping her. Also, why would the Hamill’s insist on her getting a abortion, when putting the baby up for adoption would have gotten the kid out of their hair just as good?
