Not for nothing, but it’d be hard for the media to say that he’d be some rubber stamp for Trump’s agenda if he didn’t vote for Trump and they don’t even really like each other. OTOH, it does call into question the judgement of Lee, which is not a point worth overlooking.
Good point. Also he's well liked among his fellow senators, so I can't imagine one of the RINOs voting against. He's a Utah politician out to earn points, so he made a meaningless gesture voting for McMuffin. That was a one-time dumb move that has nothing to do with his jurisprudence. If he's pro-constitution and not pro-"penumbra", I'm fine with him. Plus the "great one" digs him. Plus he'll more easily get through the confirmation process and handle all the faux outrage from the dem members, all of whom he knows so well.
I agree. However, he has not ONCE voted against Trump. So he fell in line when needed.
