the reason life seems to go faster as you get older is just your perspective, think about it, when you are 5 years old 1 year passing is 20% of all the time you have spent alive, when you are 20 years old a year is 5% at 50 it’s 2% and if you reach 100 a year is 1% of all you have ever experienced.
don’t focus on the years focus on the days, every one is priceless and you get 365 plus one extra every four years whether you are 5 or 75.

A measurements textbook assigned in my my undergrad engineering course had some words on the frontispiece on the nature of time. It went something like "We don't know exactly what time is or how it works, beyond the fact that the older we get, the faster it moves."

Seems like the future goes by in a flash, say five years goes by like nothing but looking back, five years still feels like five years ago.
