I decided to honey-dip lurk over at DU (2 of my 12 uncles were plumbers and they let me “help”). Found humor, of course, but some of the posts were concerning.

Someone who has completed an 8 part study of voter fraud provided a link to the first two parts and gave his conclusion. Since 2004, there has been massive R fraud at every level. OH in ’04, 44 shoulda won in two landslides. It’s the machines all controlled by RWers. I downloaded part 1 but haven’t studied it yet. The comments were from the congregation and raised additional concerns about Putin’s expected meddling.

According to the exec director of Raices, an “immigrant” law firm diddling down in Texas, 45 is causing chaos at the border. Guess any future chaos will be 45’s fault. How convenient.

Sarah and the Red Hen. There was a screed addressed to her warning about what kitchens may do to her food in the future. Commenters agreed in their usual style. No mention of the repercussions the restaurant is experiencing. There was also a thread recommending shunning and refusing service to Fox news people in NYC. They are high on this tactic, power to the people and all that. And they are thrilled with 50 states of protest at the end of the month.

“Frightening times we are living in, my friends. And probably about to get a lot worse. The manure is getting very close to the fan.” I think I read the equivalent here earlier, but that one wasn’t titled French Revolution—American Style. Fantasies of guillotines and upside-down hangings abound. Yes, they are arm-chair deluded. But according to their playbook, since nothing else works, what else can the Resistance do but Arise?

Then I found a thread that made me pour some Irish. Topic: Black views on Immigration. It was a semi-long thread not always staying on-topic (human trait, I’d say). There was a poll revealing a majority desire among blacks (”a critical voting block”) to curb immigration. “In case you haven’t noticed, Trump is reaching out to AA voters.” The response to that was no, he isn’t (this was a high-count poster). One post noted after an ICE raid, some business had to hire AAs at $4/hr more.

This post made me smile:

“I really think Trump is going to legalize marijuana, and then pardon a s***load of people currently in jail, most of them black.

Basically what the African American community has been asking for for decades. And he’ll market it to whites / conservatives as a cost saving measure and getting non-violent petty criminals out of jail. This will also instantly shed his “racist” label.

Those people cut loose will then be allowed to vote, and how hard is it going to be to vote against someone who gave you or your family members their lives back?”

Then there was pushback, alternate polls, how the racist is pitting the black against the brown once more. There was only one poster that I could identify as black and that person had a mother who loved 45’s immigration policies.

The last response was from a newbie (15 posts) and I suspect…well, you decide.

One last note, my Hyperbole Award recognizes, “Not just the biggest liar in presidential history but in WORLD history.”

Amusement aside, I was disturbed by the mood there and I’ve lurked there for a long time. If politics is downstream from culture, the political battles expanded into the culture wars long ago (see Pat B ’92 convention). We’ve been losing and we’ve eaten schiff for decades, never knowing these days would come. But the pendulum has mightily reversed course.

Humility is only one of the many words the other side doesn’t know. Now they want in-your-face confrontations. My sense was that they are psyched-up and clueless. That’s a dangerous combination, in view of the revelations to come.

Another human trait is the tendency to only see what you believe. We’ve been awakened over many months, our task is to help the normies adjust to the changed world-view in a shorter amount of time. The PTB and their attendant crazies will not go quietly away and they are hardly receptive to communication. In a lot of ways, Ayn certainly called it. I doubt we’ll be passive observers/investigators much longer.

Our revolution was against an early multi-national and a non-representative government. Our founders fought the British and a third of their countrymen. They crafted a contract for a new form of government to be staffed by rotating citizens, not the family affair we’ve allowed to become entrenched. Those DWEMs pledged their lives and honor to change history. It’s time to renew our vows.

P.S. Would you believe me if I said the new DU term for zotting is “sending a pizza”?
